When incredible components come together to create this kind of beauty ….. it’s pure Magic .
Let me tell you a little about this necklace that I’ve created with this brooch … a collectable part of costume jewellery history and the vintage Japanese faux pearls .
The Brooch : A collectable and rare vintage brooch by Ciner .
Ciner have been making jewellery in America since 1892, this piece is circa 1950 is from the Hollywood Glamour period .
Today, 127-years later, CINER remains family owned and operated, and the only surviving fine costume jewelry company left that designs, manufactures, and produces each piece by hand, all in its New York City atelier.
The Pearls : 1950’s Japanese Faux glass pearls . Purchased last month in New York , still wrapped in their original tissue in the manufacturers box - like they’d been made yesterday.
Vintage Japanese glass beads are some of the most perfect beads I’ve collected over the years . Their superior quality makes working with them sheer joy.
The Tassel : vintage gold plate ‘bell cap’ , the last of a handful of these I purchased from New York years ago - with a Czech glass seed beads .
My Part : I’ve hand knotted each bead to give these glorious components the most luxurious feel possible for the wearer .
The brooch can be carefully removed to be worn alone with or without the tassel.
The brooch measures 7x 7 cm’s .
Necklace is designed to sit high with 10 cms of extension chain to adjust the length .
