I began this necklace with the intention of creating something simple.
But as I worked, the piece seemed to have other ideas.
Fresh from my travels through the glassmaking heartland of the Czech Republic, I found myself drawn into the rhythm of embellishment — another cluster of beads, another crystal, another delicate pearl drop.
The design evolved as if by magic , carrying with it the impressions of the extraordinary makers, generations of craftsmanship and the enduring beauty of Bohemian glass that I saw and people I met .
Hand-stitched, richly textured and unapologetically ornate, this is a piece that became more than I originally imagined.
This necklace does sit across the shoulders like the picture shows .
It is divine to wear - not heavy ( a question I get asked a lot )
