Eton Collar with Silk Bow Brooch

* In the detachable collar world there is no collar quite as unique as the Eton Collar. It is one of the few  collars specifically designed to ride outside, and over the top of, the wearer's jacket -  

This was from an article written about a ‘traditional’ Eton Collar of the 1800’s .

Now I’ve taken the design to a new level and have expertly hand stitched this one with Czech glass beads and silk .

I’ve sewn Dupion silk  into ribbon to create a bow that doubles as a brooch and can be worn on or off the collar and the same silk has been threaded through the collar to give it a gathered effect , extra depth and creates an adjustable tied closure .

Now unlike the 1800’s this collar is perfect to wear over a knit in the cooler months or simply over a T-Shirt .
