Travelling to Ethiopia has been one of the most truly amazing things I’ve undertaken and provides endless amounts of design inspiration when I use the handmade crosses in my work .
After a 9 hour trip into the mountains , Tigist and I met with the local families that make these incredible crosses and beads .
They use recycled bullet casings as the base material for these unique pieces .
The beauty of the landscape, the harshness of the environment and the dedication to workmanship and support for the community are all here in these handcrafted necklaces that I’ve created for you .
Each of these designs are different, just like no two of us are alike no two of these pieces are ever the same .
Combined here with fabulous faux pearls and rhinestone accents , this necklace goes from casual to glam in an instant !
