Rings x Ralton

One-of-a-kind pieces from the heart of Czech glassmaking.

During my recent travels through the Czech Republic’s legendary Crystal Valley, I had the opportunity to spend time with the fine team at Ralton — one of the world’s specialist makers of hand-pressed Czech glass jewellery stones.

Ralton’s work sits somewhere between traditional craftsmanship, colour science and art. Using Czech glass, their highly skilled makers combine different colours and types of molten glass — sometimes incorporating pearl effects, metallic coatings, genuine silver and even 24kt gold — to create extraordinary depth, movement and colour that cannot simply be reproduced by machine. 

Every stone is made by hand, meaning the subtle variations within the glass are not imperfections, but part of its character.
One single stone can pass through more than 16 pairs of hands before it even reaches quality control - no two stones are ever quite the same. 

The exceptional quality of Ralton glass has seen their stones used by some of the world’s great fashion houses, including Versace, Chanel and Christian Dior. 

The rings in this collection are particularly special.

Each is a one-of-a-kind piece from an earlier Ralton jewellery collection that I selected during my visit to their workshop in Jablonec nad Nisou. Once sold, these exact pieces cannot simply be reordered.

For me, they are little pieces of Czech glassmaking history — remarkable colour, craftsmanship and innovation, made wearable.
